Australian Vintage officially launches Poco Vino

Australian Vintage has officially launched its new Poco Vino brand in the United Kingdom, with Australia to follow in October 2025.

Poco Vino is marketed in a stylish 187ml bottle that resembles a perfume. The winemaker announced the smaller format-based wine innovation in February 2025, with former CEO Craig Garvin declaring it would “create a new category in the wine industry”.

“Think of what Nespresso did for coffee,” Garvin told The Australian “It is cool and it’s stylish. This is approachable and it fits lifestyle. So, for example, we’ve just been ranged in Dubai duty free.”

The company revealed in May that pre-sales for Poco Vino had already exceeded expectations to the extent that the Group had brought forward further investment in packaging for the brand.

When announcing its FY2025 half-year results, the company said the initial $8 million nets sales contribution from Poco Vino to its bottom line had been upgraded to “conservatively over $10 million” for FY26, through increased global demand.

Poco Vino has confirmed more than 4000 distribution points for launch with pipeline interest across Asia, Europe and through a partnership in the United States.

“Another added benefit of the brand and the ‘make where sold’ model is that it will reduce supply chain costs creating a sustainable global business model and deliver significant incremental margin for the company as the brand builds
throughout the plan,” the company said.
