First collab between The Whisky Club & Sullivans Cove

The Whisky Club and Tasmania’s Sullivans Cove have joined together for their first collaboration: Sullivans Cove Double Cask Batch Strength.

Not only is this Sullivans’ darkest, richest Double Cask ever; it’s the first time Double Cask has been made using only fortified and wine casks.

Established in Hobart’s historic gasworks site in 1994 – just two years after Lark – Sullivans Cove is Tasmania’s oldest commercial whisky distillery.

In 2014, Sullivans Cove became the first distillery outside Scotland and Japan to win the World’s Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards. Its gone on to win the World’s Best Single Cask Single Malt three times (2018, 2019 and 2026). It remains the only Australian whisky to win World’s Best Single Malt (2014), and its four World’s Best wins make it the most decorated single malt distillery globally at the World Whiskies Awards.

The Whisky Club worked directly with distillery manager Heather Tillott on the new release and the result is a whisky featuring rich red fruit, caramel and spice, thanks to a marriage of French oak Tawny, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and American Oak Apera casks.

Sullivans Cove Double Cask Batch Strength has an ABV of 55.4% and is one of only half a dozen high ABV bottlings by the distiller in the last decade, with all previous releases being single casks.

The whisky has been bottled exclusively for Club Members and will be available from 1 May 2026 for $290. Learn more here.
