This September, Sydney nightlife hub YCK Laneways, will transform into a Negroni lover’s playground as it partners with Campari to launch Negroni Month.
The precinct-wide event will celebrate and elevate of one of the world’s most iconic cocktails.
Traditionally taking place over a week in late September, Negroni Week is a global charity program founded by Imbible and supported by Campari. Now in its 13th year, the annual initiative has inspired bars and restaurants across the world to mix up Negronis for a good cause.
Stepping things up a notch, Campari is extending the celebrations across the entire month of September in partnership with YCK, inviting guests to explore the precinct and discover a fresh twist at every stop.
Each participating venue will be creating a classic Negroni and two bespoke variations. In addition, a few select venues will create a non-alcoholic Negroni.
Set across the buzzing precinct between Town Hall and Wynyard, YCK Laneways is a collective of independently operated small bars, restaurants and creative spaces spanning York, Clarence and Kent Streets. Throughout the month, venues will come alive with a series of activations including burlesque performances, live music, Negroni master classes, immersive experiences, precinct tours and roving performers.
Participating venues include Burrow Bar, Esteban, Kahii, Button Bar, Kuro Bar and Dining, Lucille’s, Papa Gede’s Bar, Roast Republic, Since I Left You, Stitch Bar, The Barber Shop, The Duke of Clarence, Vina Bar, Jolene’s, Little National, Local Sauce Tours, PS40, Next Door Restaurant & Bar, Cash Only Diner and Uncle Ming’s.
YCK Laneways Vice President Karl Schlothauer said: “Whether you’re a negroni purist or curious first timer, Negroni Month at YCK Laneways is a chance to showcase our precinct’s creativity, community and love of this classic. After all, there’s no Negroni without Campari.”
