A new Australian company called Blue Sky Drinks Co has purchased Top Shelf International and Gravity Drinks.
Gravity Drinks founder Mick Spencer is Executive Chair of Blue Sky. Gravity Drinks is a better-for-you RTD company founded in 2022 by Spencer, Liam Battye, and a group of professional athletes.
Blue Sky’s CFO/COO is Greg Mitchell, GM – Sales & Marketing is David Ward and Liam Battye will become Head of Operations.
Ray Noble, a 30-year drinks industry veteran, has also joined the board of Blue Sky. Noble previously served as Managing Director of Sazerac Australia.
Top Shelf entered administration in August 2025. Its assets include spirit brands NED Australian Whisky and Grainshaker.

The combined business will continue production in partnership with IDL and will maintain national distribution and support of more than 5000 independent liquor retailers, key on-premise partners and Endeavour Group and Coles Liquor.
The transaction is expected to complete within the next four weeks.
