NSW Wine Month is returning for its third year, with more events, more participating wineries and more venues across the state highlighting the quality and diversity of the state’s wines.
Formally kicking off the month-long celebration is the 2026 ICC Sydney NSW Wine Awards on 30 October where the top honours and trophies will be handed out for the years’ best drops, after that it’s 30 days of events, promotions, dinners and celebrations for wine lovers.
Since its conception in 2024 NSW Wine Month has grown into a far-reaching showcase of the wine regions, varieties and personalities across the state.
NSW Wine President Mark Bourne said: “At its heart NSW Wine Month is about building stronger, lasting connections between our regional farmers and businesses, and consumers across the state.”
“The month is packed with unique opportunities to enjoy beautiful wine, hear stories from the 200 years of grape growing and winemaking history in NSW and discover something completely new at our flagship festival Sydney Cellar Door from 13-15 November with more than 35 wineries heading to First Fleet Park in The Rocks.”
Minister for Jobs and Tourism Steve Kamper said: “The NSW Government is proud to support NSW Wine Month as it enters its third successful year.
“The event will showcase the quality and diversity of our state’s world-class wine regions and vineyards, giving thousands of people an opportunity to meet the award-winning winemakers behind them.
“With tastings, winemaker dinners, masterclasses and other events taking place throughout November, there has never been a better time to discover NSW wine.
Beyond Sydney Cellar Door, the month includes collaborations stretching from the Riverina to Sydney.

- A first ever Hunter Valley Heritage Vineyard event for trade and consumers bringing 13 winemakers to Sydney for a tasting and dinner with wines from the state’s oldest vineyards.
- 2026 NSW Sommelier Wine List of the Year winner Altitude Restaurant will host Tyrrells, Brokenwood, Ross Hill and Clonakilla for one night only.
- Sit down for winemaker dinners with Margan x Botanica, Rowlee x Bibo, Scarbrough Wine Co. x Annata, See Saw Wine x Whitney’s Restaurant & Bar, Molly Morgan Wines x Signal Box Newcastle and more.
- Meet next generation NSW winemakers at events like the Zecca Handmade Italian × Via Pola Wines or at one of three Urban Wine Walks (Balmain, Newtown and Newcastle) shining a light on young and emerging wineries.
