Ron Santiago de Cuba celebrates Australian launch

Iconic light rum Ron Santiago de Cuba has landed in Australia and Sydneysiders have been invited to a month-long celebration.

With over 150 years of Cuban heritage, Ron Santiago de Cuba is aged under the Caribbean sun in American oak barrels, with the result being a smooth, elegant spirit that delivers notes of honey, tropical fruit and vanilla.

To mark its arrival, the brand is hosting immersive experiences at Latin bar and restaurant La Farmacia in Darlinghurst every Friday and Saturday night in May.

Expect Cuban-inspired cocktails, street snacks, music and a bar transformed into a slice of Havana. Featured drinks include Cuba Libre $10, Mojito $15, and Piña Colada $12.

“Ron Santiago de Cuba isn’t just a rum, it’s Cuba in a bottle,” said CNV Liquor Managing Director Nick Chappell.

“Australia’s passion for premium spirits and vibrant culture makes this the perfect market. La Farmacia, with its joyful, authentic vibe, was the natural partner to bring this story to life.”

The collaboration goes beyond cocktails – from the décor and playlist to the drinks menu, every detail has been curated to
transport guests to Santiago de Cuba, the spiritual home of Cuban rum.

While the La Farmacia launch runs through May, both brands are already stirring up future plans. An ongoing partnership is on the table, with potential seasonal cocktail menus, Cuban masterclasses and further cultural activations popping up around the country.

The La Farmacia takeover kicks off a national rollout for Ron Santiago de Cuba, which will include premium retail availability, exclusive on-premises partnerships and high-energy Cuban experiences across major cities through 2025.
