Coles Liquor has taken out global Retailer of the Year and Best Own Label Range of the Year at the London Wine Competition 2025.

Four of its wines took home Gold medals with a score of 95+ in the competition: Beyond the Wilderness Riesling 2024​, Winton Road Barossa Valley Rosé 2023​, Ovation Brut Cuvée NV​ and Postcards from Italy Montepulciano 2022​.

Beyond the Wilderness Riesling 2024 (RRP $25) was also named Best Own Label By Quality, Best Own Label White of the Year and Best Own Label of the Year; while Ovation Brut Cuvée NV​ won Best Own Label Sparkling; and Winton Road Barossa Valley Rosé 2023 was crowned Best Own Label Rose of the Year.

“This global recognition reflects our team’s dedication to quality, value, and innovation across our exclusive wine range,” Coles Liquor said.

“In total, 15 wines from our exclusive brands were awarded medals – a huge testament to the partnerships built with our talented wine suppliers and the expertise of our wine team that allow us to produce great quality wines that our customers love.” ​

The London Wine Competition spotlights wines that excel not only in exceptional quality but also in delivering outstanding value and compelling packaging. By evaluating wines through the lens of real-world consumer appeal, the competition aims to ensure that awarded wines resonate with both trade professionals and everyday wine enthusiasts.

Meanwhile, the 2025 Wine of the Year at the London Wine Competition went to Isabel Estate Wild Barrique Chardonnay 2022, which is produced in the Marlborough region and is part of Endeavour Drinks Group’s premium wine division, Paragon Wine Estates.
