Taylors opens Garden of Chill pop-up bar

Taylors Garden of Chill will transform the lawns of the Royal Botanic Gardens of Sydney into a red wine oasis from 9-11 February.

The Garden of Chill menu will feature select red wines from Taylors’ Estate range served at their optimum temperatures.

The South Australian winery has long championed the importance of temperature when serving wine, having pioneered temperature-sensitive back labels that help drinkers know when the wine is at its optimum temperature back in 2015.

“We talk a lot about temperature at Taylors, but it really is the single most important factor to getting the most out of your wine and somehow seems to be the biggest pitfall,” said Taylors Wines Managing Director Mitchell Taylor.

“If you’re one to serve your reds at room temperature or you drink your whites icy cold, we encourage you to pop down for an afternoon at our Garden of Chill to discover the joys of a perfectly chilled glass of wine.”

Garden of Chill will also feature vino-coloured bean bags to relax on while listening to chilled-out tunes and nibbling on charcuterie and cold pizza slices from Pasticceria Papa (because, according to Taylors “like our reds, pizza is best served chilled”). Guests to the pop-up can also get their hands on Taylors Shiraz Slushies.

Sticking with its temperature theme, drink specials will commence when the day’s celsius hits its maimum temperature, with each day showcasing a new offer to enjoy.

Taylors Garden of Chill will be situated on the waterside Mare and Foal Lawn of the Royal Botanic Garden, overlooking one of Australia’s most iconic views. The location makes it ideal to grab a drink with friends as you explore the gardens, relax before a movie at Moonlight Cinema or see a show at the Sydney Opera House.

Taylors Wines Garden of Chill will be open to the general public from 12 midday until 7:30 pm from 9-11 February. Bookings are not required.
