Victoria Beckham has celebrated her 50th birthday with a lavish party thrown by husband David Beckham that is estimated to have cost more than $450,000.

The designer and former Spice Girl marked the milestone birthday with 120 of her closest friends and family. She was joined by her husband David Beckham, as well as their four children: Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and daughter Harper, 12.

Stars at the soiree included Eva Longoria, Salma Hayek, Marc Anthony and Gordon Ramsay. Hayek wrote on Instagram: “So honored to be a part of the great @VictoriaBeckham’s super fun birthday celebration with her close friends and family🎉❤️,” Hayek wrote. “Even though my feet are sore from dancing, it was such a special and unforgettable and fun night 💃🏻.”

Tom Cruise also attended and was rumoured to have been breakdancing and doing the splits.

Held at a private member’s club in London called Oswald’s, no expense was spared when it came to the drinks menu, which included $5800 bottles of Victoria’s favourite Chateau Mouton Rothschild, $960 bottles of champagne and cocktails featuring Don Julio 1942 tequila.

Victoria toasted Paris Fashion Week last month with shots of £160 a bottle 1942 Don Julio tequila.

All of Victoria’s fellow Spice Girls — Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie “Mel B” Brown — attended, with the bandmates performing their classic song, Stop.

On her Instagram page prior to the party, Victoria said: “As I get ready to step into 50 (in heels, of course!), I feel so incredibly blessed to have reached this milestone,” she wrote. “Blessed, but also accomplished and deeply content. Not just of where I am as a woman, but of how far my fashion and beauty brands have come. My ambition was always to empower women and make them feel like the best version of themselves. To me, that meant trusting my instinct and never compromising on my creative vision.”

All her guests received a party favour white t-shirt reading “F—, I’m fifty.”

The birthday girl – who is recovering from a broken ankle – was given a piggy back out of the club by her husband at 2.30am.

After the birthday party Victoria wrote on Instagram: “Best night ever! Happy Birthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife.”
