Mixologist Jarrod Rickard has created a hangover-beating variation on the Margarita in celebration of World Cocktail Day on 13 May.
Hangover supplement brand alc-eze has partnered with Rickard (A.K.A @diycocktailguy) on the Nashi Pear Margarita.
Inspired by one of the ingredients that makes up alc-eze, the key flavour in the cocktail – nashi pear – contains enzymes that help to speed up alcohol metabolism while also limiting alcohol absorption.
The following cocktail includes a blend of tequila, nashi pear, Cointreau and pear juice.
Nashi Pear Margarita
- 1/2 cup of nashi pear
- 45ml tequila
- 30ml Cointreau
- 60ml pear juice
METHOD: Add all the ingredients to a blender with plenty of ice and serve in a salt-garnished glass.
