Hyatt Hotel Canberra is partnering with Wildbrumby Distillery in the first of its newly launched Masterclass Series.

Wildbrumby Distillery is located in the heart of the Snowy Mountains, half way between Jindabyne and Thredbo, where it has been creating its signature range of schnapps for 21 years.

In keeping with the mountain-culture theme, the masterclass will be held by a crackling fireplace in the hotel’s historic 100-year-old Griffin’s Lounge and served with winter-warming canapes.

Wildbrumby Distillery founder Brad Spalding will take guests on an enchanting journey as he shares his personal anecdotes of mountain culture, the backstory to Wildbrumby Distillery, the distillery process and of course, a Wildbrumby schnapps
tasting.

“Schnapps is an integral part of the mountain culture and I’m looking forward to sharing the spirit of The Snowies in our upcoming masterclass,” Brad says.

Head Distiller Sebastian Druege will serve cocktails featuring Wildbrumby schnapps and spirits.

Hyatt Hotel Canberra, General Manager, Adam Myott says the evening was the first of a series of Masterclass events to be held at Hyatt Hotel Canberra.

“Canberra and the surrounding districts have some of the best distillers, mixologists, wineries and producers in the country and this is something that we want to tap into as we continue to invest in supporting local business and offering our guests immersive culinary experiences,” he says.
