Young Henrys has announced the return of its annual International Women’s Day Brewing Scholarship, now in its fourth year.
In partnership with TAFE NSW and Blundstone Australia, the Inner West brewery aims to open more doors for both women and non-binary individuals through its Young Henrys support packages.
Any individual who identifies as female or non-binary and enrols in the Certificate III Food Processing and Micro Brewing Course (Brewing) at TAFE NSW will qualify.
Young Henrys said it believes that the beer industry is richer and more vibrant when it reflects the diversity of its communities. By supporting both women and non-binary individuals, the initiative aims to build an inclusive industry where everyone can thrive.This initiative seeks to create opportunities that leave a lasting impact.
Every female or non-binary brewer enrolling in the course will receive:
- Quarterly mentoring sessions with Young Henrys’ Head Brewer Jesse Searls and Head of Lab Rene Delmas
- A pair of Blundstone boots, made for the rigors of the brewery floor
- Young Henrys merch including a t-shirt, hat, key ring and tote
- Course textbooks covered to ease the financial load so participants can focus on learning and growing.
