TWØBAYS Brewing Co has taken out Gold at the 2025 World Beer Cup, becoming the first Australian brewery to collect back-to-back gold medals in the competition’s history.
The Mornington Peninsula brewery’s recently released Pacific Ale won Gold and was declared the best beer in the Gluten Free category.


TWØBAYS Founder Richard Jeffares said: “We’re very excited. It shows the guys are not just brewing good beer for gluten free, they are brewing great beer full stop.”
The Brewers Association – a not-for-profit trade association dedicated to small and independent American craft brewers 0 announced the winners of the 2025 World Beer Cup during the Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America.
Throughout 14 sessions spanning seven days, a panel of 265 judges from 37 countries methodically evaluated 8375 entries from 1761 breweries and cideries across 49 nations and bestowed 349 awards.
While TWØBAYS Brewing Co was the only Australian brewery to collect a medal this year, three “Australian-style” pale ales by American breweries scored medals, including Breakside Hello My Alien (Gold), Breakside Brewery Australian-Style Pale Ale, XPA Craft Coast Australian-Style Pale Ale (Silver) and How’s the Serenity Original Pattern Brewing Australian-Style Pale Ale (Bronze).
