Tooheys is raising a glass in celebration of ‘Tooheys On Tour’ receiving a nomination at the 2025 ARIA Awards.
The ‘Tooheys On Tour’ campaign, which brought live music to communities across Australia, has been nominated in the ‘Best Use of an Australian Recording in an Advertisement’ category for the Dune Rats’ version of Tooheys’ iconic ‘I Feel Like a Tooheys’ jingle.
The first ‘Tooheys on Tour’ dates in 2025 saw the brand collaborate with the ARIA-nominated, and self-proclaimed Tooheys lovers, Dune Rats, who added three additional pub stops to their summer tour.
At the centre of the collaboration was a rock-inspired reimagining of Tooheys’ iconic jingle. In true Dunies style, the band closed each set with their own electrifying rendition, delivering an unforgettable finale that celebrates Tooheys’ legacy while embracing the power of live music.
Danny Beus from the Dune Rats comments “Hitting the road with Tooheys On Tour was such a blast. Playing sweaty pub shows, sinking a couple of cold ones, and seeing fans up close again reminded us why we love doing what we do. To see the whole thing get an ARIA nod is just wild, we’re stoked to have been a part of it.”
Lion Brand Director – Core Beer Karen Sterling-Levis said: “Music is a part of Australian culture, and Tooheys On Tour was our way of bringing people together in the most authentic way possible, sharing a Tooheys while enjoying great Aussie music. Being recognised by the ARIAs is an incredible honour and a testament to the creativity, passion, and collaboration that made this project possible.
“With the Dunies, we were able to revive the Tooheys jingle as the ultimate pub song for a new generation which we’re looking forward to continuing in years to come.”
