Single-serve wine Poco Vino launches in Australia

Single-serve wine brand Poco Vino has arrived in Australia following its successful launch in the United Kingdom.

The “little wine with big vibes” comes in a stylish 187ml bottle that resembles a perfume. There are six styles: sauvignon blanc, pinot grigio, chardonnay, rosé, pinot noir and shiraz.

Each Poco Vino bottle is priced at $7 and is available at liquor retailers nationwide. The brand is also the exclusive wine partner of The Sunset Cinema this summer, appearing at outdoor movie nights across Australia.

The winemaker behind Poco Vino, Australian Vintage, announced the smaller format-based innovation in February 2025, declaring it would “create a new category in the wine industry”.

“Think of what Nespresso did for coffee,” former CEO Craig Garvin told The Australian “It is cool and it’s stylish. This is approachable and it fits lifestyle. So, for example, we’ve just been ranged in Dubai duty free.”

The company revealed in May that pre-sales for Poco Vino had already exceeded expectations to the extent that the Group had brought forward further investment in packaging for the brand.

When announcing its FY2025 half-year results, the company said the initial $8 million nets sales contribution from Poco Vino to its bottom line had been upgraded to “conservatively over $10 million” for FY26, through increased global demand.

Poco Vino has confirmed more than 4000 distribution points for launch with pipeline interest across Asia, Europe and through a partnership in the United States.

“Another added benefit of the brand and the ‘make where sold’ model is that it will reduce supply chain costs creating a sustainable global business model and deliver significant incremental margin for the company as the brand builds
throughout the plan,” the company said.

Explaining why Poco Vino was so well-received, Australian Vintage said:
