Suntory Global Spirits has expanded of its Minus 196 RTD line-up in Australia with the launch of a new Lemon & Passionfruit flavour.
-196 Lemon & Passionfruit delivers a whole-fruit flavour because it’s carefully crafted using Suntory’s proprietary Freeze Crush Infusion (FCI) process. A technique sees it flash-freeze the whole fruit in liquid nitrogen at exactly -196°C, crush it and then infuse it with premium vodka and shochu.
Suntory Global Spirits Senior Marketing Director Johnny Morgan said: “The RTD category continues to evolve in Australia, and our incredible -196 brand helps us meet consumers’ ongoing demand for high-quality, full-flavour experiences.
“-196 is a distinct product because of the Japanese ingenuity behind it, and we’re excited to launch our first combination flavour. With the addition of Lemon & Passionfruit, we’re redefining what real fruit-forward refreshments should taste like.”
The new product launch follows a busy summer for -196, with activations across the country including a Laneway Music Festival sponsorship showcasing Double Lemon 4.5% and a Japanese “konbini” bar pop-up in Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast.
The new Minus 196 Lemon & Passionfruit is now available at major retailers in 4-pack and 10-pack formats.
