The Australian Open has joined forces with Melbourne brand Grainshaker Australian Vodka as its Official Vodka in a multi-year partnership.

Grainshaker began production in October with three expressions – Corn Vodka, Wheat Vodka, and Rye Vodka – at Top Shelf International’s state-of-the-art production facility in Melbourne.

“Part of our vision for the AO this year was to play our role in promoting the best Melbourne and Victoria had to offer, in terms of food, beverages and experiences,” Tennis Australia Chief Revenue Officer Ben Slack said.

“Grainshaker is an innovative local Melbourne brand and is a great example of this, and we are delighted to showcase them as the Official Vodka Partner for AO 2021. We know our fans and partners, both onsite and watching from home, will enjoy Grainshaker drinks as part of their AO experience.”

The Grainshaker Australian Vodka Bar promises to be the spot to be seen for avid tennis fans at the AO. Conveniently located within the MCA Zone near the Western Courts, it will be the ideal place to catch a drink with friends in between all the on-court action.

Grainshaker Australian Vodka will also be served at selected AO 2021 food and beverage outlets, hospitality spaces and restaurants, including six specially curated cocktails in the premium Atrium bar. Grainshaker will also have a presence at the new COVIDSafe dining pods on Grand Slam Oval in the Rod Laver Arena zone.

Grainshaker launches partnership with celebrity lunch

The partnership between our Grainshaker premium Australian vodka and the Australian Open was launched with an intimate dinner for Melbourne’s foodie, social and celebrity set at the iconic Botanical restaurant last week.

Guests were treated to a menu curated by George Calombaris using Grainshaker spirits and premix can flavours (pink grapefruit, lemon and lime) as inspiration. The menu was also matched with cocktails by Master Distiller Sebastian Reaburn.

“What a way to kickstart our three year partnership with the Australian Open!” the distiller said.
