One of the Southern Riverina region’s most popular watering holes, the Farmers Arms, has been listed for sale through CBRE Hotels.
Located in the NSW town of Tocumwal, near the Victorian border, the Farmers Arms sits on a 1,158sqm site and comprises a front bar, TAB, large bistro dining facilities and expansive beer garden. The hotel is strategically positioned between Tocumwal’s main shopping strip, golf course and bowling club.
CBRE’s Mathew George has been appointed to market the property for sale via an Expressions of Interest campaign.
George said the Riverina venue represented an attractive opportunity to secure a strong-performing venue offering a great return on investment.
“This is an ideal property to add to your portfolio with an experienced hospitality operator on a long-term secure lease. The value of this opportunity is underpinned by the longstanding goodwill and successful business that’s been operated from the
Farmers Arms for decades looking after locals and visitors,” George explained.
“The Farmers Arms is widely renowned as one of the best country pubs for a meal in the region.”
Tocumwal, on the Murray River, is situated 260km from Melbourne via the Newell Highway. With 23 sandy beaches situated within five minutes, the town is a renowned destination for visitors, campers, boating and fishing enthusiasts.
Tocumwal’s popularity continues to grow each year, fuelled by strong growth in camping and outdoors activities in regional Australia over the past 10 years.
George explained: “With more local and domestic tourism than ever before, regions such as Tocumwal along the Murray in the Riverina continue to attract high visitation and investment.”
The Farmers Arms is being offered for sale by Expressions of Interest, closing June 24, 2021 (if not sold prior).
