New zero-alcohol wines in time for Dry July

If you’re looking for a zero-alcohol wine to drink during Dry July, swing into your nearest bottle shop and grab a bottle of newly launched Funky Monkey.

Funky Monkey has been introduced by Fourth Wave Wine – the team behind the popular ‘No Evil’ organic wine range.

‘’The Funky Monkey range was developed and crafted by the team behind the successful ‘No Evil’ organic wines due to growing consumer support for zero alcohol drinks,” said Ross Marshall, general manager, Fourth Wave Wine.

“These are very high quality varieties that offer fuller flavours and ultimately greater satisfaction than those made with lesser quality grapes from the beginning.”

Hand-crafted using small batch boutique winemaking techniques, Funky Monkey is made with quality grapes sourced from premium dry-grown South Australian vineyards. This ensures the wine remains vibrant and full-flavoured once the alcohol has been removed, giving a more deliciously satisfying and authentic wine taste without the alcohol.

Grape skin extract is added during the wine making process lifting weight and mouthfeel, with the additional benefit of more naturally occurring antioxidants found in standard wine.

Funky Monkey is available from major liquor stores nationally at an RRP of $15. The range features Funky Monkey Blanc de Blanc, made from a premium blend of Chardonnay, Semillon and Colombard grapes and featuring a vibrant nose of citrus and apple with a sweet fruit lift; Funky Monkey Pinot Grigio, a flavoursome vegan-friendly Pinot Grigio with aromas of pear, apple and citrus and a slight hint of floral characters; and Funky Monkey Pinot Noir, with characters of dried herb and spice with a touch of natural fruit sweetness.

Due to the increased demand for zero alcohol wine, Fourth Wave Wine has also launched The Conscious Drop – an online hub offering information, tasting notes, healthy recipes and lifestyle tips for those looking to expand their knowledge about wines to complement healthy lifestyle choices, such as zero alcohol, preservative free, vegan, and organic.

“With so many people looking for the right wine for the right time that suits their lifestyle, we decided to launch ‘The Conscious Drop’. Whether you’re looking for the perfect vegan friendly, organic wine to take along to a restaurant, or you’re searching for a great tasting zero or moderate alcohol wine, you can find out everything you need to know so you can make the best choice for you,” added Marshall.
