BWS has unveiled new streetwear-influenced outfits for its 9000 store team members nationally after collaborating with three Australian designers.
Team members will get to choose which artist’s designs to adorn their t-shirts as part of a wider revamp of BWS work wardrobes.
“We want our team members to feel empowered and wear clothes that reflect their personality and style,” said BWS Managing Director Scott Davidson.
Bianca Beers from Blacktown is an independent artist and designer specialising in digital illustration, and she has created an elaborate illustration about the art and magic of mixology.
“I hope BWS team members feel fly wearing my design! I tried to create something low-key that had a bit of a band-tee vibe, while also playing homage to the craft of cocktail making,” she explained.
Sam Rowlands, originally from a cattle farm out past Mandurama, NSW, relocated to Sydney where she started her career as a fashion designer and branding designer before becoming an Art Director.
She has incorporated a snake enjoying beer and a croc grabbing a bottle of wine in her t-shirt designs.
“I thought it was fun and a bit cheeky to play with the qualities of liquid softness and our harsh native animals,” she said.
“My goal is that team members enjoy what they wear, make it their own, find it funny, tweak it in their style. That’s what fashion is all about, giving people the stuff to show off their personality!”
Brisbane-based Steen Jones first began channeling his creativity within the tattoo industry, and has since established himself as a creative powerhouse.
“I hope the team loves my design as much as I did making it for them,” Steen said about his illustration which features a rose and a message in a wine bottle.
BWS team members will start wearing their new wardrobes later this week.
