Monnet Cognac has appointed award-winning bartender Andie Bulley as its new Cognac Expert Ambassador in Australia.
The Brisbane-based bartender has been at the Savile Row bar for more than two years where she has been responsible for the production of all their cocktails. She has also been a finalist in several national cocktail competitions, including cracking the coveted Diageo World Class Top 5 in Australia.
She has also formed numerous partnerships with prominent brands, emphasising the significance of education in the Australian hospitality industry. Additionally, she has collaborated on the creation of highly successful pop-up club nights that have captivated audiences across various locations throughout Australia.
Bulley is also in charge of Savile Row’s extensive training program providing sessions for spirit education, cocktail masterclasses, and whisky masterclasses. In recent years she has developed a speciality in cognac, providing educational sessions her passion for cognac began as she delved deeper into the world of spirits and explored the rich history and craftsmanship behind it.
Bulley will be working collaboratively with Monnet to educate Australians on how to enjoy this diverse spirit, by leading unique masterclasses, curating one-of-a-kind cocktail creations, and communicating the importance that cognac plays in the spirit world.
“I haven’t always loved cognac. I came across the spirit in the last three years when I was working and someone suggested that I try it, after expressing my love for floral notes in whiskey,” she said.
“After that, I was hooked. It’s now my go-to spirit when I’m working, and the one I love recommending most to guests.
“This is a great opportunity to work alongside a brand I value, and a spirit I genuinely believe deserves more advocacy within Australia.”
Monnet Cognac launched its products in the Australian market in 2022.
