Moët Hennessy Australia New Zealand has announced two key appointments to its leadership team.
Ashley Powell has returned to Australia to take up the role of Managing Director, following a 16-year career with Moët Hennessy working across Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Hong Kong and Macau.
Joining him is Julien Marteau, Moët Hennessy’s new Marketing & Consumer Engagement Director, who brings over two decades of industry experience in Marketing & Sales, specialising in the premium and luxury drinks segment.
Powell began his career with Moët Hennessy sixteen years ago, and has worked as General Manager, Moët Hennessy New Zealand and Marketing and Business Development Director for the ANZ regional office before moving with the group to Asia in 2019.
He spent two years as the Managing Director of Moët Hennessy Champagnes and Wines Korea, before taking on the role of Managing Director of Moët Hennessy Diageo Hong Kong & Macau.
Moët Hennessy said Powell was well known in the industry for his passion for building brands, and for driving business transformation and growth.
Marteau joins Moët Hennessy Australia and New Zealand, having most recently been the Head of Marketing, Core Brands Portfolio for Accolade Wines ANZ, overseeing brands such as Hardys, Houghton & Mud House as well as driving the innovation agenda in the region.
He spent the previous decade at Pernod Ricard Australia, working in key Marketing and Sales management roles across the
portfolio, from Champagnes and Cognacs to spirits, shaping the luxury strategy and acceleration of
Pernod Ricard’s premium brands in Australia.
