James Squire releases low-carb pale ale

James Squire has entered the low-carb beer category with James Squire Stride, a flavourful pale ale, with only 3.6gm of carb per bottle.

Made from 100% grain ingredients, James Squire Stride is described as a clean, refreshing low-carb Pale Ale. Created using only Australian Pale and Munich Malts with a dash of wheat, tangerine and tropical stone fruit notes form the aroma and top notes while Mosaic and Galaxy hops deliver hints of passionfruit and citrus.

Albertus Lombard, Brand Director – Premium at Lion Australia, said entering the low carb beer space was an exciting opportunity for James Squire.

“Stride has been carefully crafted by our brewers to deliver a low carb pale ale that has all the flavour of a pale ale that you’d expect from James Squire,” he said.

“We know that there’s limited low-carb beer options on the market in Australia, and with James Squire’s innovation credentials, it was a no brainer for us to launch into this space.

“James Squire Stride gives beer drinkers the option to drink a low carb beer that packs a punch in flavour that craft beers are known for, without compromising on quality and taste.

“James Squire Beers aren’t your run of the mill beers. They’re flavourful and balanced, a step above others, and perfect for any occasion.”

The James Squire Stride beer joins the James Squire portfolio including 150 Lashes, Broken Shackles, Ginger Beer and Zero. It has an ABV of 4.2% and will be available to purchase in 330ml bottles in leading liquor stores across Australia and within James Squire brewhouses, RRP starts from $54.99 per case and $20.99 per six pack.
