Dan Murphy’s opens three new big box stores

Three new large format Dan Murphy’s stores will open in time for Christmas trading, with a fourth due to open in January 2024.

In November, Victoria gained three additional Dan Murphy’s stores in Spotswood, Epsom, and Rosebud, and Woolooware in Sydney’s south is on track to open in January 2024.

This brings the total number of Dan Murphy’s stores nationally to 272.

Epsom is a suburb of Bendigo in regional Victoria and the store is part of the Village Epsom Shopping Centre. The Spotswood store is located in south-west Melbourne and is part of the Union Quarter development. Rosebud is a seaside town on the Mornington Peninsula, 60km south of Melbourne, and is a popular tourist destination.

In addition, six stores have re-launched following renewals in the last month in Albury, Ballina, Shepparton, Erina, Noarlunga and Burwood.

Dan Murphy’s Managing Director Agi Pfeiffer-Smith (pictured above with Endeavour Group CEO Steve Donohue) said: “Dan Murphy’s success is built on large format stores and we continue to make targeted investments to tap into growing markets in strong population growth corridors.”

“The four brand new stores will add more than 3000 square metres of retail space to our network by January, and will bring the total number of Dan Murphy’s stores opened over the course of the year to eight, in addition to 15 store renewals.

“Every year we aim to expand our network by about this number of new stores and 2024 will be no different. In fact we’ve just announced we plan to open a Dan Murphy’s at Perth Airport, which promises to be a fantastic new store servicing a wide range of locals and tourists alike.”
