Smirnoff launches Lavender Lemonade

Smirnoff has released a new limited edition RTD flavour – Smirnoff Ice Lavender Lemonade.

Lavender purple has been making waves over the past year in the world of fashion and pop music, inspiring everything from the lavender couture and festival glamour to song titles and album cover designs. 

Taylor Swift’s 2022 hit song Lavender Haze fuelled the craze and it’s showing no sign of falling out of favour anytime soon.

The launch of Smirnoff Ice Lavender Lemonade comes as some of the world’s biggest artists, including Swift, are making their way Down Under.

Cities are lighting up lavender for Swift’s arrival. Her Eras Tour which kicks off in Melbourne on 16 February before heading to Sydney.

Accor Stadium is among the buildings that has turned purple in anticipation.

Smirnoff said the premix bottle’s citrus flavour and cloudy lavender colouring has been designed to mimic the energy and fun that festivals and concerts evoke for music lovers.

Smirnoff Marketing Manager Maddy Stockwell said: “With the colour purple having its moment, we’re leaning into our lavender era with the launch of Smirnoff Lavender Lemonade, creating a new taste that sparks excitement. Smirnoff lives and breathes music, so when we saw the line-up of incredible musicians and artists making their way to Aussie stages this year, we knew we had to get ready for it.”

The RTD combines triple-distilled Smirnoff vodka and crisp lemonade layered with light lavender for a fragrant finish. Described as “vibrantly tart yet sweet” it has a 4.5% ABV.

The new RTD is available from 13 February, at liquor stores nationwide including Dan Murphy’s and BWS. A 300ml glass bottle four-pack retails for $21.99.
