Sydney’s Bastille Festival is returning to Circular Quay in July, featuring more than 17 pop-up bars and lashings of French cheese.
Aligning with the Paris Olympics, it will include an Olympic parade amid the gourmet food, vintage wines and captivating arts.
The organisers expect more than 10 tons of cheese and 10,000 litres of wine to be enjoyed during the festival, which is being held over four days from 11-14 July.
Five distinct villages within the festival grounds will feature the best of French cuisine and creativity. Sydney’s top culinary talents will unite to present an array of classic French dishes, including escargot, sweet and savoury crepes, raclette and other melted cheese extravaganza.

The 17 bars scattered throughout the festival will offer French wines from Loire Valley to Bordeaux and Burgundy, Provence, and more, as well as French ciders, beers and the festival’s signature mulled wine stations.

Food, wine and art masterclasses will be offered, alongside favourite experiences such as Le Mulled Cinema and the “Wine Walk”.
There will also be 100 free shows at this year’s Bastille Festival. Expect live concerts, street artists, fire performances, magician shows, dance classes and lots of street art and buskers.
