Malocchio Drinks have teamed up with six-piece Melbourne band The Maggie Pills for their new music video release ‘Helena’ and a couple of spin off ads featuring its hard seltzers.

The ads come as the Melbourne seltzer brand celebrates growing sales and wider distribution.

“Sales have been steadily growing as more customers discover how delicious our seltzers are through in-store tastings and word of mouth,” said Malocchio Drinks co-founder Anna Chiera.

“Finger Lime is still proving to be our best seller which I think is due to its unique flavour and how refreshing and easy to drink it is.

“Malocchio is also now available in Fomo Cinema and is the only seltzer on the menu. Our brand fits really well with the cinema’s Blade Runner style decor and have been doing well since they opened in January.”

‘Helena’ is the fifth official music video release from The Maggie Pills’ debut album ‘Hope is A Risk’. Directed by renowned filmmaker Triana Hernandez the music clip is an ode to 90’s skater music videos through an emotionally visceral and modern lens – playful styling, slightly surreal and extreme eye candy intertwined with high energy and melancholic tones. The video features Melbourne semi-pro roller skater Rib, Skylar as her friend and band members Delfi Sorondo, lead singer and Mario Perez, drummer.

“Live music is a big part of our life and we have such an incredible array of talent, not just in Melbourne but throughout Australia.” “We want to help support bands, live music venues and artists in any way we can and work together to keep our music scene alive” said Chiera.

The ads tie in with the themes of the music video with Delfi and Mario enjoying an elegant tea party with Malocchio Hard Seltzers and in the second ad they enjoy a playful hang on the beach.

Chiera said there was a real juxtaposition with the imagery that resonated well with Malocchio Drinks new motto, ‘The Alternative is Always More Refreshing’.
