A new cocktail mash-up of two Australian cocktail favourites – the Aperol Spritz and Margarita – has been a runaway success, with its first premix run selling out in just five days.

Sophisticated Cocktail co, located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches specialises in premium, ready-to-drink cocktails in eco-friendly pouches. Founder Vicki Lyon created the Aperol Margi earlier this year, which blends Aperol, Blanco tequila, fresh lime juice and a dash of bitters and spice.

“Our Margarita has always maintained its number one slot as our top seller, so for summer this year we wanted to introduce another Margarita, since we have such a loyal following and combine it with what everyone has been ordering in bars around the country, the Aperol Spritz” said Lyon.

“We certainly didn’t expect it to sell out so quickly, we ran a limited run to see if our audience would like it and well it certainly turned out to be such a hit that we have just released another batch.”

Priced at $58 for a 750ml bag, the Aperol Margi is 14% alcohol by volume and available for nationwide shipping via the Sophisticated Cocktail co website.

Sophisticated Cocktail Co’s range includes a Margarita with no added sugar, a Cosmopolitan, Espresso Martini with Mr Black coffee liquor, a Pina Colada, Old Fashioned made with spiced rum and a Negroni.
