Looking for a laugh – and a great cocktail – to serve on Mother’s Day? Ryan Reynolds has the perfect solution – a video that shows how to make a drink called Mother’s Ruin Punch.
The video starts with the actor saying: “It’s almost Mother’s Day. That time of year when we recognise our moms for all the love and support they show us. And today I’ve asked my own mom to help me raise a glass to mothers everywhere with a special cocktail called ‘Mother’s Ruin Punch.”
He then breaks down the recipe for the cocktail while being interrupted repeatedly by his mother Tammy Reynolds, who gives him plenty of unwanted advice. She has thoughts on his stirring, the amount of gin in the recipe, the lack of coasters …
He ends the video by saying: “As this chills for an hour, you’ll want to spend that time reflecting on everything your mom has done for you over the years.”
But when Tammy chimes in for one last suggestion, he says: “Or just add champagne while it’s warm and drink the ever-loving sh– out of it.”
At the close of the video, Tammy advises: “We can fix your performance in post, sweetheart”, leading Reynolds to whisper “Fix you in post.”
Here are the ingredients you need to make the Mother’s Day cocktail …
