A new late-night 80s-inspired margarita bar and Mexican diner called Cancun Boat Club is opening in Quay Quarter Lanes in Sydney’s Circular Quay.
Hospitality group Milpa Collective (Bar Lucia, Santa Catarina, Calita, Carbon, Taqiza) has teamed up with The WXT Group (Wings and Tins, La Farmacia & Mrs Palmer Sandwich) will launch the joint venture on 21 May.
Cancun Boat Club aims to transport patrons to the Mexican beach resort town in 1986, with the interiors an electric décor of vintage surfboards, neon lights, 80s wallpaper, Ferrari memorabilia & a large backlit Cancun sunset that will change colour throughout the night.

With two heavyweight hospitality groups known for their margarita’s and beers, Cancun Boat Club delivers a playful drinks menu specialising in quality Margaritas, Mexican lagers, cocktails and agave with a great wine list.
A key standout will be the Captains Margarita, a group-sized, gold-plated triple margarita delivered in a treasure chest to order with friends that comes with its own captains’ hat.
The Mexican-American0inspired menu brings back all the border-town favourites with Australian produce and made by chefs trained in Milpa Collective’s Sydney venues.
Highlights include Sizzling Fajita Plates, 500g Angus Rib Eye Nachos, Birria Pizza, Flaming Hot Cheetos Grilled Corn, Mexican Hot Dogs & Tacos.

You can also expect their signature ‘DoriLocos’, bags of Doritos smothered in hot sauce, spice mix, lime juice and 16 toppings for anyone to make their own creation, including pork crackling and chilli gummies, served from a roaming trolley.
Celebrating Sydney nightlife, Cancun Boat Club has a whopping sound system and will have DJs performing Thursday – Saturday to 2:00am, with 80s hits and dancefloor fillers.
