Two Australian Espresso Martini RTDs have been awarded 95 points and Gold medals at the 2024 International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Curatif’s Espresso Martini and Melbourne Martini’s Salted Caramel Espresso Martini were both hits with the judges, with the latter being described as “restrained coffee with caramel coming through and finishing with the salt. Nice body and spice.”

Meanwhile Curatif’s Pineapple Daiquiri, Blue Hawaiian Special Edition and Pina Colada were also awarded 95 points and Gold medals, as well as claiming the title for the producer with the most scores over 90.
The RTD category continues to grow at the IWSC, with judges tasting their way through the hundreds of entries across two days of judging.
Judging Committee member Shannon Tebay said: “The RTD category is one that was largely built out of COVID-19, yet it keeps getting stronger and stronger. It is a category that isn’t going anywhere, and we are still seeing development and innovation.
“We had strong examples in the classic cocktail category, but I was really pleased with the improvement across the category at large, and more experimental playful combinations that were more refined than they had been in the past.’
Curatif founder Matt Sanger said: “We’re proud as (Planters) punch that our world-class and increasingly world-famous cocktails continue to be recognised at a global level by the International Wine & Spirits Competition, showcasing Curatif as a producer that stands out in an increasingly competitive landscape.
“We believe our cocktails are something special, and we’re immensely proud of how well our house favourites, like Espresso Martini and Piña Colada, are received. Winning these gold medals once again is a true testament to the passion and dedication that our team mix and pour into their craft.”

The International Wine & Spirits Competition Awards Celebration will take place in November in London, where the winners of the 20204 Producer Trophies will be announced.
Curatif ready-to-serve canned cocktails can be purchased at major retailers and independent liquor stores nationally for an RRP of $49.00 (4 pack) and are distributed through Amber Beverage Australia.
