San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWC) has announced its finalists for the best bourbons of 2024, with the winner to be revealed in October.
Six straight bourbons made the list, with SWFC saying each offering unique tasting experiences and embodying the artistry of bourbon distillation.
George T. Stagg Straight Bourbon
SFWC said: “This bourbon delivers a powerful punch with creamy notes of chocolate and brown sugar, creating a richly layered tasting experience. The intricate structure and bold flavors make it a favorite among bourbon enthusiasts who appreciate intensity and depth.”
Jim Beam Black Extra-Aged Bourbon
SFWC said: “Aged longer than the standard Jim Beam, this bourbon provides notes of tropical fruit with a slightly bitter undertone, delivering a smooth and balanced sip.”
Brother’s Bond Bottled-In-Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C923
