Archie Rose Distilling Co. has launched the fifth release in its ethos-driven Harvest Series, Emerald Finger Lime Harvest Gin.
The release marks the distillery’s first new gin launch for the year and continues the tradition that began in 2019 of celebrating the bounty and diversity of the Australian harvest.
Each release in the Harvest Series heroes a key local or raw ingredient and showcases its provenance, grower and region. The latest release shines a spotlight on producers Mark and Vickie of Marvick Native Farms located in Western Australia, where they grow and individually hand-pick native Australian Emerald Green Finger Limes.
Archie Rose produced the Emerald Finger Lime botanical distillate by utilising the lime skin and citrus pearls. Renowned for their iconically vibrant pearls and citrus flavour, the limes create a gin with heady aromas of makrut lime zest, yuzu and powerful peppery pine.
To taste, Emerald Finger Lime Harvest Gin delivers a mouth-coating citrus flavour followed by fresh cracked pepper and softer notes of honeydew gelato chervil and violets. It is best served over ice with a dash of tonic and a wedge of lime.
The new gin launches September 2024 at www.archierose.com.au and the Archie Rose Bar & Cellar Door, with an RRP of $89.
