A list of the 50 most expensive pubs in Australia has been compiled by AFR Weekend, which includes the biggest pub sales in recent years.

Among them are 16 hotels that transacted for more $60+ million.

AFR notes: “While the majority of the fifty most valuable pubs have been included based on verifiable sales data, some of the country’s biggest and best venues stand out for a different reason – their sheer value. These venues don’t have valuations that have been tested by the market (and may never be) but are worth more than $200 million according to AFR Weekend’s panel.”

Three of the members of the $200 million club belong to Justin Hemmes – Ivy Precinct, Establishment Bar & Restaurant and Coogee Pavilion. Others include Sydney’s Crossroads Hotel (Owner/operator: Sonnel), Coogee Bay Hotel (Owner/operator: C!NC), The Fiddler (Owner/operator: Lewis Land Group), Hotel Steyne (Owner/operator: Iris Capital) and The Oaks Hotel (Owner/operator: Thomas family).
