Melbourne’s Starward Whisky is brings a pop-up whisky experience to Sydney and Brisbane in November and December.

Having recently taken out the top gong at the ‘Oscars of the spirits world’ (Most Awarded International Distillery at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, SFWSC), Starward will offer whisky fans the opportunity to taste its winning spirits in a custom-built 12-seater theatrical pop-up.

Aged in some of Australia’s finest red wine barrels, Starward’s style, known as elemental maturation, takes advantage of Melbourne’s ‘four seasons in one day’ as the rapid temperature changes cause the barrels to expand and contract, extracting more flavour from the red wine barrels as they go through their daily dance.

The result is a quintessential Australian whisky like no other – where tradition meets innovation. Two of Starward’s signature whiskies will be the stars of the show for this immersive pop-up: Two-Fold Wheat and Single Malt Whisky.

The (New) Old Fashioned cocktail will also feature, which was awarded World’s Best Premix Cocktail 2023 at the World Premix Awards.
