Australia’s best tourism drinks experiences

Australia’s top wineries, distilleries, breweries and restaurants for tourism experiences have been announced at awards ceremonies throughout the country.

The Gold winners in each category will go on to represent their states and territories at the Australian Tourism Awards, with the winners announced at the gala event on 21 March 2025 in Adelaide.

The Australian Tourism Awards is the pinnacle awards program for the Australian tourism industry. The national program recognises and rewards businesses that are committed to excellence, innovation, and outstanding achievements in tourism.

Gastronomy tourism is a booming trend, with the Asia Pacific currently holding a 37.8% share of the global culinary tourism market, valued at USD$1.1 trillion in 2023, according to The Brainy Insights Culinary Tourism Market Research Report.

This figure is projected to soar to USD$6.2 trillion by 2033.

People are increasingly seeking authentic and locally-sourced food experiences when they travel. These experiences include visiting local markets, farms and vineyards and participating in cooking classes that emphasise traditional cooking methods and regional ingredients. The trend is driven by a desire to have a deeper cultural immersion during travel experiences.
