Australia’s first certified organic, certified sustainable and carbon-neutral gin distillery, Antipodes Gin Company, has relocated from Canberra to Melbourne.
The distiller said the decision to move operations was the next step in its strategic growth plan, leveraging the city’s renowned food and beverage culture, dynamic hospitality industry and increased market opportunities.

“We are incredibly proud of our roots in Canberra, where we established Antipodes as a brand synonymous with quality, sustainability, and innovation,” said Antipodes Gin Company founder Shane Reid (above).
“Relocating to Melbourne allows us to immerse ourselves in one of the world’s most vibrant culinary hubs, connect with a broader audience, and continue crafting exceptional gin that Australians love.”

Antipodes’ new Preston distillery opened in late March and will provide gin enthusiasts with a first-hand look at the art and science behind the gin, while also showcasing the brand’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.
“We’re excited to call Melbourne our new home in our 10th year of business and to bring Antipodes’ spirit of innovation and excellence to a city that shares our passion for creativity and craftsmanship,” Reid said.
Antipodes Gin’s new headquarters is located at 28 Bellevue Crescent, Preston.
