Clare Valley wine tasting event for Sydney

The Clare Valley Wine & Grape Association (CVWGA) will host ‘Clare Valley: Red & Refined’ next month in Sydney – a free winter trade tasting event open to business owners, sommeliers and venue managers.

Held at Customs House in the historic Barnet Long Room on 18 June 2025, the event will run across two sessions: 1-3 pm and 3:30-5:30 pm.

Trade guests will meet 12 Clare Valley winemakers and producers who will showcase the best in red wine that the region has to offer.

The tasting follows a Clare Valley wine taking out Shiraz of the Year at the prestigious London Wine Competition, Taylors’ 2023 Jaraman Shiraz. The event saw Taylors triumph over competitors from renowned wine regions including France, Portugal, Chile and New Zealand.

Guests can also enjoy two expert-led masterclasses, one dedicated to Shiraz and the other to Cabernet Sauvignon.

Each masterclass will feature museum vintage wines awarded gold medals at the Clare Valley Wine Show over the last 10 years and beyond.

Attendees can expect to try bottles from well-loved and acclaimed Clare Valley producers including Taylors Wines, Pikes Wines, Sussex Squire Wines, Pauletts and Jim Barry Wines.

Register to attend the Clare Valley wine tasting and connect with the region’s winemakers and producers here.
