Australia wins World’s Best Hard Seltzer

Independent Australian drinks brand FELLR has taken out World’s Best Hard Seltzer at the 2025 World Drinks Awards.

This years’ awards took place at the Waldorf hotel in the heart of London’s theatre district. The event celebrated the very best drinks, people, companies and places in the ever-growing world of the global drinks industry.

FELLR Lemon Squash took out the top award in the Premix section. Created as a limited-edition collaboration with
lifestyle label Alfred’s Apartment, FELLR Lemon Squash was designed to capture the essence of Aussie coastal tastes and the growing demand for fruit-forward, naturally flavoured drinks.

The judges said FELLR Lemon Squash was chosen as the World’s Best Hard Seltzer because it had “a clean and fresh lemon aroma, reminiscent of freshly-squeezed juice”.

“On the palate, it is crisp with a refreshing, acidic finish,” the added. “The flavour profile highlights real lemons and a touch of salinity, making it very drinkable and enjoyable without any sugary notes. All-in-all, a citric-forward experience.”

The win comes as FELLR marks its fifth birthday. Since launching in 2020, FELLR has been growing around 50% year-on-year since inception.

Co-Founder Will Morgan said, “We’re blown away with the result. We love creating awesome-tasting drinks that our drinkers that they’re proud to share with their mates. We’ve been playing with new ingredients and new styles of drinks – so getting global recognition for our latest liquid’s reinforces we’re on the right track!”

This milestone win comes as FELLR leans further into real fruit juice across its new releases – a direct response to consumer demand for more full-flavoured, natural, and better-for-you drinks.

Co-Founder Andy Skora said: “Incorporating real fruit is the next step in FELLR’s evolution. Aussies want drinks that taste incredible, feel premium, and still align with a low-sugar lifestyle – and that’s exactly what Lemon Squash delivers.”
