Aviation American Gin has teamed up with Wrexham AFC to unveil a limited-edition bottle and commemorative pack in honour of the club’s return to the Championship and historic third consecutive promotion.
In celebration of this limited-edition launch, Ryan Reynolds, co-owner of both Wrexham AFC and Aviation American Gin, has released a hilarious new spot where he celebrates the new bottle flying off the shelves, even in Wrexham’s rival towns.
Cue Charlton, Chester and Stockport fans flushing gin down urinals and dumping it into rivers …
The ad spot follows Reynolds and his Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney jetting in to watch Wrexham’s first Championship home game since 1982 over the weekend. Unfortunately the team fell to a 3-2 defeat to West Bromwich Albion.
But it’s still an incredible achievement for the team to have returned to English football’s second tier after 43 years.
Aviation American Gin Global Brand Director Ricky Collett said: “Wrexham AFC has defied the odds and built a global fanbase through persistence, passion, and community.
“And at Aviation, we know what it means to redefine expectations – like reimagining how deliciously versatile Gin can be. As a partner that’s been with the team every step of the way, we’re proud to raise a glass to this new chapter and bottle the glory.”
It’s not confirmed as yet whether the release will land in Australia. But the ad has gone global.
