Open Table has reported a 12% increase in solo diners in recent years and Sydney rooftop bar Aster is embracing the trend with the launch of Martini for One.
Kicking off on World Singles Day (11 November) and running through summer, guests can enjoy refined bites and personalised martinis.
With solo restaurant bookings on the rise across Australia, Martini for One invites guests to indulge in the art of dining solo. The experience combines harbour views, a tasting menu of elevated bites, and a flight of three mini martinis.

During Aster’s Solo Martini Hour, guests select a flight of three mini martinis paired with bites such as Sydney rock oysters with finger lime caviar, beef carpaccio with truffle mayo and scallop ceviche with chilli and sesame.
The Mini Martini Menu includes:
- Hakumai-tini: Haku vodka, Banana, lemongrass, Black rice
- Maretini: Gin Mare, Rapeseed vermouth, Sake, Tomato water
- Waxtini: Four pillars Olive leaf, Macadamia, Honeycomb, verjus, Blue cheese
- Rockstini: Ford gin, Kaffir leaf, Thai Basil, Italicus Bergamotto
- Celestini: Belvedere Vodka, pea Shoots, Apple, St. Germain, Mancino Bianco vermouth, Mancino Secco vermouth, Tarragon, Koji salt
- Citrustini: Belvedere Vodka, Mandarin, Lemon, Tio Pepe Sherry
Martini for One is priced at $70 per person and includes a flight of three mini martinis, three matching bites, and access to Aster’s virtual martini quiz. It’s available from 12 November to 21 December, from 4pm – close daily.
