Gin Events and Fever-Tree have partnered to launch Fever-Tree G&T Week, an initiative designed to drive fresh energy in the on-premise gin category.
Fever-Tree G&T Week will run from 18–24 May 2026 at leading independent spirits venues across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, connecting consumers with premium gin experiences and spotlighting local distillers.
Supported by Fever-Tree, participating bars will feature curated G&T serves and promotional visibility designed to lift visitation, encourage exploration and grow G&T sales during the week.
Launching in tandem is the Fever-Tree G&T Cup: a new annual competition created to identify the most exceptional gin and tonic pairing in the region.
The competition aims to recognise the craft behind both distilling and the perfect long serve, with every entry judged alongside its recommended Fever-Tree mixer, served over a single, optimally-formed block of ice for consistency.
More than 600 gins are expected to enter across Australia and New Zealand.
Judging will take place in Sydney in early May 2026, with Barrelhouse Group founder Mikey Enright as Chair, supported by a panel of experts and trained stewards. Five finalists will be announced and reassessed during a closed industry presentation at The Barber Shop on York Street, where a Fever-Tree representative will award the inaugural G&T CUP and officially launch Fever-Tree G&T WEEK.
The winning distillery will receive the Fever-Tree G&T CUP trophy along with a five- day marketing immersion in Singapore, including engagements with Atlas Bar and the famous Level 33.
Gin Events CEO and founder Judith Kennedy said: “The gin and tonic continues to be the signature-serve driving growth in gin, yet we’ve never had a moment dedicated to truly celebrating it across the region.
“Fever-Tree G&T Week and the G&T Cup give distillers and bars a platform to grow, reach new drinkers and put the spotlight firmly on the craftsmanship behind a truly great G&T.”
Fever-Tree Head of Marketing Caroline Wood said: “The Gin & Tonic remains one of the most popular serves in Australia and is a key focus for Fever-Tree, particularly in the on-premise market.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with Gin Events in 2026 to bring Fever-Tree G&T WEEK and the Fever-Tree CUP to life.”
Entries for the Fever-Tree G&T Cup will open to distillers in January 2026, with further details including venue participation to be announced shortly.
