Chiswick to host International Women’s Day Wine Market

Matt Moran’s planted-to-plate Woollahra restaurant Chiswick will celebrate International Women’s Day on 7 March 2026 with a female-led Wine Market.

The event will spotlight some of Australia’s most exciting women in wine, alongside leading female winemakers from around the world.

Set across the restaurant’s lawns from 2pm–7pm, the afternoon will champion women wine producers and female-led wine labels from Australia and abroad.

Curated by Solotel Beverage Manager and Master of Wine Annette Lacey, alongside Aria sommeliers Mimi Mrazakova and Vicki Lou Peng, the line-up showcases wines by trailblazing female producers across many celebrated wine regions including:

  • See Saw Wines – Monica Gray, Orange NSW

  • Pipan Steel – Paula Pipan, Alpine Valleys, VIC
  • Holm Oak – Rebecca Duffy, Tamar Valley, TAS
  • Thea Wines – Allanna Wigley, Hunter Valley, NSW
  • Denton Wines – Kirilly Gordon, Yarra Valley, VIC

  • Artisan Malbec – featuring Malbec varietals from female-led Argentinian wineries

The market builds on the success of Chiswick’s inaugural Spring Wine Fair, with this edition placing women at the forefront – celebrating their leadership, innovation and growing influence within the Australian and international wine community.

Solotel Group Beverage Manager Annette Lacey MW said: “This event is about championing great wine and the incredible women behind it.

“International Women’s Day gives us a meaningful moment to spotlight the talent, creativity and craftsmanship of female winemakers – from some of Australia’s most exciting producers to remarkable women shaping wine internationally. It’s an opportunity to bring people together, raise a glass, and recognise the impact these women have on our industry, all while contributing to an important cause.”

Guests can enjoy live acoustic and jazz performances throughout the afternoon, alongside a bespoke pop-up St-Germain Spritz Bar.

Seasonal lawn bites, curated by Chiswick’s Sous Chef Naomi Xavier, will also be on offer. The menu will include Moran Family Farms charcuterie with garden pickles; scallop crudo with aguachile; La Petite Princess goat camembert with Sonoma baguette and fig; smoked ham and scamorza croquettes with Garlicious black garlic mayo, using black garlic from female producers Jenny Daniher and Cathy Owen; and sweet treats including madeleines with lemon curd and custard tarts.

Entry is $10 and includes a Chiswick Wine Market Glass for sampling, with $5 from every ticket donated to Two Good Co, an Australian social enterprise supporting women with lived experience of domestic violence, homelessness and complex trauma. Learn more here.
