Ube Cream Liqueur has gone from niche to mainstream after securing distribution in Dan Murphy’s NSW and ACT stores.
7000 Islands Drinks, a specialist importer and distributor of Filipino and Asian craft spirits in Australia, said it was a huge milestone for the brand.
Produced in the Philippines, Ube Cream Liqueur is a craft spirit distilled in Aklan (a place most well known for tourism hotspot Boracay Island). It is made from sugar cane from the island of Negros, coconuts from Mindanao and Ube from the island of Bohol.
The Australian on-premise has embraced Filipino craft drinks in recent years, with restaurants and bars introducing ‘Ube-based’ drinks and other Filipino themed cocktails with confidence – featuring Filipino rums and mixers made of Calamansi.

There are now more than 300 venues nationwide featuring uniquely Filipino ingredients on drinks menus and cocktails lists, including Clover Dining in Canberra (Manila Highball by Ton, above).
Filipino cuisine is also ‘having a moment’ in the world of food, with the prestigious Michelin Guide awarding distinctions to nine restaurants in 2025.
