Bastille Festival returns to Sydney

Taste France and Vin De France are taking over Sydney’s East Circular Quay for Bastille Festival 2026.

From 16-19 July, the country’s biggest celebration of French food, wine and art is expected to draw more than 600,000 visitors.

Among the highlights will be a dedicated Vin De France wine bar — an immersive space where curious wine lovers can sip, learn, and discover French varietals. There will be guided tastings, a retail space with festival-priced bottles, and three ticketed masterclasses running daily.

Vin De France (VDF), is France’s most creative and diverse wine designation. VDF gives winemakers the freedom to blend
the finest grapes from every corner of the country – from the sun-drenched south to the cooler northern regions.

The Vin De France Tasting Bar will be open daily from 11am to 10pm in the heart of the French Village, offering guests a 20-minute guided tasting experience across a selection of curated wine flights.

Attendees can choose from a White Flight, Red Flight, or Top 5 Selection flight, each featuring five wines at $15 per person. The tastings are available to book online or on a walk-in, first come, first served basis.

The full range of Vin De France Wines can be found at Liquorland stores nationally – but the festival is offering special prices and offers across labels including La Belle Angele, Tussock Jumper, Louis de Camponac, Vincent Gerard, Roc de l’Abbaye, La Java Rouge and La Petite Perriere.

Hosted inside the Taste France wine bar and running daily across all four festival days will be three ticketed 60-minute masterclasses—Aromas & Varietals: Taste the Unexpected, Wine & Cheese: The Ultimate French Duo, and Cocktail Creation: Mix It Like the French. Learn more here.
