Three Australian reds have been ranked among the Top 10 Best Shiraz in the World at the prestigious Syrah du Monde 2026 competition in France.

Chateau Tanunda’s Grand Barossa Shiraz 2024 and 100 Year Old Vines Shiraz 2022 stood out in an elite field of international entries from 20 wine-producing nations, earning two Gold Medals and securing positions in the competition’s coveted Top 10 ranking. Clare Valley winemaker Taylors Wines also took out Gold for its The Pioneer 2022.

Available in more than 40 countries, the winery earlier this year released its award-winning Grand Barossa Shiraz 2024 in a new 375ml format designed to suit a wider range of consumers and occasions.

“The Grand Barossa range is one of our most internationally recognised collections, so receiving recognition at a global competition such as Syrah du Monde is incredibly rewarding,” said Geber.

Also making it into the Top 10 was an Old Vine Expressions from Château Tanunda, made from vines that stand to be some of the oldest in the world, and that reflect Château Tanunda’s commitment to preserving and championing Barossa’s unique old-vine heritage.
