Melbourne Royal’s 2026 Australian International Spirits Awards Exhibitor & Trade Tasting will be held on 28 July 2026 at Melbourne Showgrounds.
Bringing together more than 1000 local and international spirits entered into this year’s awards program, the event offers trade an opportunity to taste all the award winners, discover emerging trends and meet leading distillers and producers.
Attendees can also gain insight into the industry’s future through a curated series of masterclasses led by some of the sector’s foremost experts including newly appointed Co-Head Judges Sebastian Reaburn (co-founding Anther Spirits and Australian Distillers Association committee member) and Holly Klintworth (Managing Director of Bass & Flinders Distillery).
Raeburn said: “The Spirit Awards are a highlight of my year, and the Exhibitor & Trade Tasting is the only place you can experience the incredible breadth and quality of spirits from Australia and the world.
“More than 1000 entries available to taste in one room is a rare privilege and the best place for industry professionals to taste emerging trends, discover new producers, and see first hand where the category is heading.”
Klintworth said: “What’s exciting about this event is that it brings the industry together in one place. Beyond celebrating the award winners, it creates a forum for distillers, retailers, hospitality professionals and enthusiasts to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and gain insight into the innovation shaping the future of spirits.”
This year the awards, now in their 12th year, formally opened to international spirits producers for the first time as well as introducing a new Gin & Tonic category, recognising the enduring appeal of this classic serve while offering a more practical measure of product performance.
