Wild Turkey is inviting Australian bourbon enthusiasts to join a turkey hunt, with pre-order now open for the opportunity to access the Wild Turkey Austin Nichols Archives, Gold Foil Edition before it lands on shelves across the country. 

Inspired by Wild Turkey’s most iconic vintages from the 1980s and 1990s, affectionately known by fans as “Cheesy Gold Foil”, the release pays tribute to one of the brand’s most celebrated collector stories.

The launch has already generated significant excitement globally since its release in the United States earlier this year.

Now, ahead of its official Australian launch, Wild Turkey is giving local fans the opportunity to reserve their limited release bottle. 

Created under the guidance of Associate Master Blender Bruce Russell, the release draws inspiration from one of the most revered bottles in bourbon collecting culture. 

“Austin Nichols Archives has been a labour of love, and I’m excited to finally share it with bourbon lovers everywhere,” said Russell. 

“Gold Foil Edition was the perfect bourbon to launch the collection. Inspired by a personal favorite of mine and of many Wild Turkey fans, I drew on everything I’ve learned from my father and grandfather to create a whiskey that honours the Wild Turkey legacy.” 

For decades, rare and limited bourbon releases have inspired collectors to search far and wide for highly coveted bottles, turning whisky collecting into a culture built on passion, patience and the thrill of the hunt.

Wild Turkey hunters will also have the chance to meet with Bruce Russell, third-generation bourbon maker and Associate Master Blender at Wild Turkey, who is visiting Australia from 24 August to 7 September 2026.
