Award-winning Speyside single malt The GlenAllachie is returning to Australia after more than two years away from the market.

The Whisky List (TWL) has been appointed as the distillery’s new Australian distributor.

Led by legendary Master Distiller Billy Walker, who has spent more than 50 years working in the Scotch whisky
industry, The GlenAllachie has become one of the most celebrated independent Scotch whisky distilleries in the
world, building a devoted following for richly flavoured, age-stated single malts and an uncompromising approach to
cask maturation.

Walker said: “We’re delighted that The GlenAllachie will be returning to the Australian market at such an exciting time for the business. Over the years, we’ve continued to build The GlenAllachie and Meikle Toir with a clear focus on quality, character and innovation, and we now have a dynamic range of whiskies that gives us a fantastic platform for growth in Australia.

ahead to our 10th anniversary in 2027. It’s a significant milestone for us, and we’re excited to celebrate it by bringing

partnership with our new distributors The Whisky List.

TWL Co-Founder Oliver Maruda said: “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome The GlenAllachie back to Australia. The distillery has been absent from the Australian market for more than two years, and we’ve had customers asking us constantly when it would return.

“We’re incredibly proud that TWL will now be responsible for its next chapter here. Aussies absolutely love a sherry cask whisky. It’s easily one of the most popular styles here and demand for it continues to grow. Higher ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtration are all things Australian whisky drinkers actively look for, and with The GlenAllachie, they come standard.

“But what really sets The GlenAllachie apart is Billy Walker. We consider Billy a master of wood, and he’s obsessed with maturing his whiskies in exceptional casks, particularly PX, Oloroso and Palo Cortado sherry casks.

“The youngest whisky in the core range coming to our shores is the The GlenAllachie 12-Year-Old, which was
recently crowned the World’s Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards.

“Alongside it we’re bringing the full core range, including the 15-Year-Old and 18-Year-Old, right through to the very old and rare 35-Year-Old.

“We’re also bringing in limited-edition and cask-strength releases, including the 11-Year-Old Palo Cortado and 10-Year-Old Cask Strength, which has gained an almost cult following among whisky lovers here in Australia.

“It’s a range that feels almost purpose-built for the Australian whisky drinker, and we’re incredibly excited to have it back.”

The GlenAllachie International Sales Manager Ciara Hepburn said: “It’s been over two years since The GlenAllachie has had a presence in Australia, and we wanted to take our time to find the right partner to bring the brand back to market.

First shipment expected next month

The first shipment of The GlenAllachie is expected to arrive in Australia in late October 2026, just in time for the Christmas gifting season. And few styles of whisky feel more at home at Christmas than a rich, sherry-driven Speyside single malt.

The first Australian shipment will span The GlenAllachie’s core age-stated range alongside cask strength, limited-edition and ultra-aged releases:

• The GlenAllachie 15-Year-Old – 46% ABV – RRP $175
• The GlenAllachie 18-Year-Old – 46% ABV – RRP $265
• The GlenAllachie 10-Year-Old Cask Strength – 59.8% ABV – RRP $179
• The GlenAllachie 11-Year-Old Palo Cortado Sherry Cask Matured – 48% ABV – RRP $155
• The GlenAllachie 1990 35-Year-Old Cask Strength – 50.2% ABV – RRP $2499

The new distribution partnership will also include Meikle Tòir, The GlenAllachie Distillery’s peated single malt range. Produced at The GlenAllachie under the watchful eye of Billy Walker and his team, Meikle Tòir combines rich peat smoke with the distillery’s renowned approach to cask maturation.
