To celebrate the launch of their new Apple TV series, Brothers, Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson have collaborated on a cocktail called the Blue Blood.
Bringing together Matthew and Camila McConaughey’s Pantalones Organic Tequila and Woody Harrelson’s Harmony Gin and Origen Vodka, the cocktail is a spirited take on a Long Island Iced Tea.
The drink is inspired by the question they’ve been having fun with for years: Could they actually be blood brothers?
“We’re not sure if we share the same blood but our spirits sure do mix well,” McConaughey said.
After 30 years of friendship, that question now takes center stage in Brothers, where Matthew and Woody play fictionalised versions of themselves and lean into their real-life relationship.
To make the Blue Blood at home, find the full recipe below.
Blue Blood
- 1 oz Pantalones Reposado
- 0.5 oz Harmony Gin
- 0.5 oz Origen Vodka
- 0.75 oz blue curaçao
- 0.5 oz lime juice
- 0.5 oz honey syrup
- 2 droppers chilli tincture
- Stir or shake the ingredients together.
- Serve on the rocks in a glass with a salted rim.
- Top with club soda and garnish with a lime wedge.
